IILA worked with the 2019 Chair of the G77 + China (the State of Palestine) in the following international law capability-enhancing projects:

Protecting Marine Biological Diversity in the Oceans (since July 2019): The health of the oceans is under critical attack from a host of angles. The need to ensure the long-term life of the mass of marine life in the seas beyond the control of any one country is vital – and hearing the voices of the full range of small and developing States making up the G77+China is invaluable. As this treaty negotiations heads into the complicated drafting process of a final text, IILA is supporting the State of Palestine to best enable its role to coordinate all developing States in working towards a the fair and equitable sustainable use of marine resources - before, throughout and beyond the intergovernmental conference sessions.
