Transforming the Future: The Making of International Law (video link and podcast)
We are pleased to share the video recording of Session 2 of our Reconceptualizing International Law series, with our thanks to Prof. Dr. Diane Desierto, Ambassador Marie Jacobsson, Ambassador Michael Imran Kanu, and Prof Dire Tladi for a fantastic session which left much food for thought (and action!).
A podcast version is also available on Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple, and a written summary here.
We also attach Ambassador Kanu’s paper on the International Law Commission in relation to international law and small / developing States, as discussed during the panel.
The Reconceptualizing International Law series is organized by IILA, the UCLA TWAIL Seminar, and the International Arbitration Group of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. It is co-sponsored by the Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore. Information on Session 3 - Responsibility and Accountability for Colonization - scheduled for Wednesday 10 February 2021, will be coming soon.
