Responsibility and Accountability for Colonization (Video and podcast)

For all who missed Session 3 of our Reconceptualizing International Law series - Responsibility and Accountability for Colonization - on 17 February 2021, our video recording is now available. A podcast version is also available on SoundCloud, Spotify and Apple.

Our huge thanks go to Professor Antony Anghie, Ambassador David Comissiong, Professor Verene A Shepherd, and Professor Larissa van den Herik for a really lively and inspiring session.

We also attach the slides Professor Shepherd used during the session as well as two papers (here and here) which Professor Anghie drew upon for his remarks.

The Reconceptualizing International Law series is organized by IILA, the UCLA TWAIL Seminar, and the International Arbitration Group of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. It is co-sponsored by the Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore. Information on Session 4 - Reconceptualizing “Humanity’s Law” - will be coming soon.
